Update:

Tim Tebow is being allowed to pick the team he wants to go to. He picks the trade. Jets or Jacksonville.

Denver says it will do the trade that is best for its franchise. Jets or Jags.

And just 20 minutes later:

Denver has agreed to trade Tim Tebow and a seventh-round pick to the Jets for the NY’s fourth-round pick and a sixth-round pick.

NY has agreed to pay half of the $5 million in compensation back to Denver that was in dispute in Tim Tebow trade.

Last night Twitchy.com reported that the New York Jets were pushing hard for Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow.

On Wednesday morning our reporting was proved right when the New York Jets seemingly acquired the quarterback for just a fourth round draft pick.

Tim Tebow traded to the Jets – Rex Ryan is a mad scientist who’s gonna make one good QB by combining Sanchez and Tebow #Timsanity

Mark Sanchez better watch his back. Tim Tebow will be pushing him for his starting role

So the Jets traded a 4th-round pick for Tim Tebow. FWIW last two 4th rounders they used were on Bilal Powell & Joe McKnight.

Now that the Jets have QB Tim Tebow, coach Rex Ryan will have to start every locker room speech with “Earmuffs Tebow!” #NFL #UpdatedTweet

Tim Tebow to the Jets! Now that he is in New York Tebow can work on his bounce passes with Jeremy Lin!

As punishment for the bounty, Roger Goodell should’ve forced the #Saints to trade for Tim Tebow

Jets upgrade their QB position adding Tim Tebow. Rex Ryan is finally realizing how bad Mark Sanchez actually is

Tebow AND Sanchez in NY? The odds of someone being killed by an errant PepsiMax bottle just doubled.

UPDATE

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting the two teams have hit a snag in the contract language.

Filed to ESPN (1): Denver and Jets have encountered hangup in language in Tim Tebow’s contract that could nullify trade.

— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 21, 2012

(2) If the Tebow trade to Jets falls apart, St. Louis could wind up getting back into play. Sides sorting through details.

— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 21, 2012

Tim Tebow has $5 million worth of recapture language, meaning Jets would have to pay back money to Denver. Jets might be unwilling. Complex.

— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 21, 2012

The same money issues in Tim Tebow’s contract caused complications for Jacksonville trying to complete trade. Now Jets facing them.

— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 21, 2012

Jets-Broncos agreed to Tim Tebow trade before Denver asked NY to pay back portion of bonuses and salary already paid to Tebow. No deal yet.

— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 21, 2012

Jaguars back in the mix!

More craziness filed to ESPN: Jaguars are back in the mix, seeing if they now can pull off a trade with Denver for Tim Tebow.

— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 21, 2012

Tim Tebow trade now is expected to come down to either Jaguars or Jets. Jaguars making play to get the player they failed to land earlier.
